How I Met Your …….Someone!

Characters: She, He, Him, Her….

Children, this is a true story and the events took place over a period of 3 years…. (wow!)

It was the first day of tuition…oh! cut the crap I’ll go straight to the important parts…..

Things dint start like a fairytale beginning…….. it was nearing the exams and the tuition was overcrowded with students of both sexes…… There were the girls who thought they were the most beautiful specimens on Earth (well they were rite to some extent!) and that the boys had no other job other than staring at them (again they were rite to some extent!). The gals complained to the teacher that we guys were looking only at them (not at all rite this time!) and not studying (ok…right again)……..and out of those girls who complained, ‘He’ thought that ‘She’ was one of them……

So the teacher separated the tuition…..the guys who were supposed to be trouble makers were shifted to the other batch and the ‘good’ guys would remain to study with the girls….He was always in the good books of teachers so He remained….

There was always this sense of rivalry between He and She as both were respective toppers in their gender in that tuition….but She was always miles ahead of He…..but just before the final exam he had got the highest marks in the tuition in a school exam and was on top of the world………..He looked at She with a sense of victory!....(well that would be costly! As in the final exam She beat He again …..BY MILES).

Cut straight through to the next year in which the tuition was much less populated…there were He, She, ‘Him’ and few more gals and boys …….now slowly the ice started breaking … the boys and gals started talking…and coming after a refreshing break even He started talking! ( FYI… He was an introvert …..never used to look at gals or talk much in the tuition) But that break had changed everything…..(what happened in tht break will tell later if rahul gives me a chance!) He had become more confident, street smart and could now talk to gals on their face …… He and Him were quite good buddies and ‘Him’ was very friendly …..But he had still not talked to She! Whereas Him was always talking to She…

One day He came early to the tuition only to find that She was sitting there all alone….that was the first time he felt she looked amazing!!!

They started talking and from that day onwards they became quite good friends. He used to come purposely early to see if She was there…and sometimes it worked…..so one thing led to other and they used to talk quite a lot…..

And just when He knew that He had feelings more than friendship for She, Him had a confession to make ……Him was having a huge crush on She!!!

He thought, “bloody hell …why did you have to tell me now! shit!!!!”

So, He accepted the fact and went on with life thinking that all that happens is for the good….So now He could concentrate more on studies which He did…..but He still had some residual feelings for She but He pushed it down…..

Now our antagonist of the story - Him told He everyday how he thought of her and all that crap……that was awkward at first…..but then it was ok…. He just made deliberate attempts to not see She….

Now to the next year……..it was the most hectic year…and quite a lot of things happened which I’ll tell later again!! But one thing that is connected with this story is that both He and She were back on rivalry but this time it was much friendlier and a diff sub…

So, it was then the end of the year and farewell time and all that……

One fine day Him comes up to He again and says I have a confession to make……

“What could it be this time...anyway it doesn’t matter to me!” He thought.

Him : You know what…… you know that I had said that I had a crush on She…well that’s not true…it was just for a few days…..I had kept telling you that it was going on….all those feelings those, sleepless nights(bullshit!) etc, etc…. those are true but for another girl…….

And then Him showed He the photo of that girl…..

He : Oh congrats! she looks really good!..Good choice!”

That day He went home and thought what if He had known earlier that there was nothing between Him and She…..well, probably it was good that He did not know….(He could at least study that way!)…even otherwise how would it matter She probably had no feelings for anyone except her books!!! So it wouldn’t have mattered anyway!!!! …that’s what He thought…..

Fast forwarding a few more months….

He is in a new place…..Mumbai! And some more people from Saudi came out of which one was “Her”

He and Her became good friends right from the start……they were talking and fooling around so much that people thought that they were a couple …well that’s not true!!!!!

Anyways, so many fun things happened which again I will tell later….

But the thing is that one day both He and Her were telling each other about their Saudi experience….. from there He came to know that He was quite popular in the girl section …not for any sport or cool stuff or anything but because everyone had noticed that He was quiet …..and weird(this is referring to the time before the ‘break’…all that no talking and all) and a subject topper!!!!( so now you know who is “He”!!!!)

So like that they were talking, talking and the topic changed from sports to cricketers to so many random things in between and finally ex crushes!...

So they shared their experiences (but He did not tell her of the latest one that is about She)

Then finally Her said, “hey I know a girl who had a crush on you!”

That was unexpected!! Considering He’s weird ways…. Anyway He waited for the name…

Her : “ its…. ..She… She is my good friend and had told me this around……(the same time He had feelings for she)……..

That day He went to the beach at the evening and thought -

“Oh shit!!!! She also had feelings for me”……. He thought about it and then just smiled looking at the beautiful red sunset …….any way now what can He do now. Its all in the past ……

So as you know “He” is actually me…. Rohit….and Him’s, Her’s and She’s identity will be kept confidential. And by the way if you are trying to guess Him… I don’t think anyone knows Him other than me. Because Him is elder to us…. others you can try and tell me….. or perhaps I’ll let you know later……..

So Children thats how I met your …….someone!!!( HOPES ALIVE!!!)
