Day at the Mall

Last week my aunt gifted my brother and me a gift voucher worth Rs.2000 together at Reliance Time Out. She even challenged that It was better than Jarir Bookstore. Okay it wasn’t as big as it but it was like a small Jarir on the first floor and Extra on the second floor. My brother just got a game and told me to buy some other books using the rest of his share. I selected my books and we calculated that the cost was coming up to Rs.1899. My brother spots a Top Gear Magazine for Rs.80 and we decided that was it, nothing else to buy. This much was done in 40 minutes. The counter guy however says that we have to spend all Rs.2000. Then began a long struggle involving replacing one book with another and so forth and finally we even added a nail polish to make it Rs.1989. No, still have to spend 11 rupees. Fine we replace some more stuff and finally get to Rs.1999. Still No, what the fuck!!! Fine add a pen and now the cost comes to Rs.2019. No sorry, you cannot spend more than Rs.2000. What!!!!!! Now my brother, cousin and I look at my aunt. We spent past 2 hours trying to get it to a perfect 2000. Another 20 minutes later we get a book worth enough to make it 2000. And then after 3 hours in a freaking mall we got out and my advice-never enter it again.
Day before yesterday we had some function. And my mom was doing the usual, making me meet odd relatives who knew me and would say, “Yaad hai main kaun hoon?” and I would stupidly shake my head. But this time one of them actually said, “Wow, he has a nice personality” {if you must know I was hungry and my stomach was completely pushed inwards} But the thing was that it was said by some ugly bitch while her 10 year old son was standing beside her…..The fuck is wrong with people.
